We express our sincere gratitude to our Title Sponsor Ascension, as well as our other sponsors for making this event possible.
The Summit on Poverty and SWIM conference was a catalyst for change as it created a safe space for well-informed, honest discussion. The conference theme was Self-Reflection, Hope and Collective Impact. We held up a mirror and looked at ourselves individually. Participants were encouraged to evaluate their own beliefs and even biases. Together, we looked at how this impacts our work and the community. The conference also examined local, state and national policies that impact poverty and trauma.
The 2019 Summit and SWIM Conference targeted community leaders, human service professionals, educators, advocates, board members and people experiencing poverty in Wisconsin.
Again, we are grateful for your support and for serving as ambassadors in the fight against poverty.
We look forward to seeing you in 2021!
