Offering support to the SD Foundation doesn’t require cash contributions. We welcome in-kind donations of silent auction items for our FUNdraisers, school supplies, personal hygiene, and/or cleaning supplies for distribution to our customers.
People living in poverty are unable to afford items that many simply don’t see as an extravagant expense. Individuals and families are dependent upon the generosity of others in a position to help. Because of someone who takes it upon themselves to stop by a dollar store or pick up a few things when shopping for the week, low-income customers of the Social Development Commission (SDC) can have a toothbrush, washcloth, dish soap, and other critical items.
One item or more are always appreciated. If you want to inspire others, hold a drive at work, book club, place of worship, recreational teams your child may play on, and encourage everyone to pitch in one or two items to help those in poverty.
